Saint Rita Catholic Church

Saint Rita, come to my aid! Beautiful rose born from the Savior’s thorns, Lead me far from anger and hate; Guide my heart on peaceful paths with charity to all.

Since 1914, our parish has served the spiritual needs of this Alexandria, Virginia, community. Please join us, as together we worship God and grow in love for one another under the protection of our patroness, Saint Rita of Cascia.

Saint Rita Young Adults (SRYA) is a volunteer, self-organized group associated with St. Rita's with Pastor Fr. Gee's blessing. It is for the young at heart, around the ages of 20-40, who seek mutual support in growing closer to Christ and living His Faith in the modern metropolis. Our spiritual-focused activities are spread throughout the year and include:

  • After-mass Sunday brunches in Del Ray, to discuss the sermon and enjoy fellowship
  • Book Club: 2017-18 | The Power of Silence by Cardinal Sarah
  • "Light of the World" Series: lively faith discussions with our vicar, Fr. Bork, followed by refreshments
    • Sunday, October 15, 2017 | Topic: Angels and Demons
    • Sunday, November 19, 2017 | Topic: The Afterlife
    • Sunday, December 16, 2017| Topic: Messianic Prophecies
    • Sunday, February 18, 2018 | Topic: Kingdom of The Sevens

Join the SRYA family to stay in the loop and grow in Faith!
