- Marriage Questionnaire -- St. Rita Parishioners (being prepared for marriage at St. Rita Church)
- Marriage Questionnaire -- Non-parishioners (who wish to be married at St. Rita Church). Note: There must be a valid reason parishioners of other Diocese of Arlington Catholic churches need/want to be married at St. Rita Church. A “valid reason” would be, for example, (1) that your own church will be under construction on the date your wedding is scheduled; or (2) you are in the military and have received orders that you will be transferred to the Alexandria area. An “invalid reason” would be, for example, that (1) St. Rita is closer to your selected wedding reception venue than is your own church; or (2) you chose your wedding date based on your wedding reception venue’s availability and that date is not available at your own parish.
If you have a valid reason to need/want to be married at St. Rita church, you must bring your own priest to marry you at St. Rita and he would normally be the priest (or deacon) that conducted your marriage preparation. Your priest must also obtain permission from our pastor, Fr. Daniel Gee, to marry you here. If your priest is not in the Diocese of Arlington (i.e., Military Archdiocese) then he must also submit a “letter of good standing” to Fr. Gee from his diocese or religious order. Fr. Gee can be contacted via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at: (703) 836-1640 Ext. 17.
Please complete this form and email it (in PDF) to Klarissa Blank at stritaofficeDRE@gmail.com before your priest contacts Fr. Gee. Also, permission must be granted by Fr. Gee before any wedding date can be scheduled.
