Since 1914, our parish has served the spiritual needs of this Alexandria, Virginia, community. Please join us, as together we worship God and grow in love for one another under the protection of our patroness, Saint Rita of Cascia.


The St. Rita’s Playgroup welcomes all kids, mothers, grandmothers, moms-to-be, and women caregivers (ex. nannies, babysitters, etc.)!

Group Meet- Ups | Fridays at 9AM-11AM at the Parish Center, local playground, gym, community library, etc. Meeting day & time do change depending on coordinator availability. Other family friendly social events vary depending on group interests. Please be sure to contact coordinator for group updates!

If your family is leaning towards Homeschooling either full-time or part-time, please contact Elise Matich, She has currently taken over as the coordinator for St. Rita Homeschool Group as of Summer 2018. The St.Rita HSG meets regularly throughout the year except during the summer months on Wednesdays from 2:30 PM to 5 PM for Holy Hour which includes the Holy Rosary, Vespers (English), and playground time afterwards. 

St. Rita School Atrium - Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program is available on the same day (first come first serve) for families who are interested in adding it to their homeschool curriculum. Please contact Miss Megan Rolla at
